Wisdom For Us All

Lord, without wisdom, I'd be around here looking like and acting like a fool.

Thank you, Holy Spirit, for the understanding to seek your direction before I do anything to ask you for help. Lord, I'm asking for wisdom for myself, and I believe you will give it to me (James 1:5).

Lord, from your mouth, come knowledge and understanding (Prov 2:6-7) and I'd rather have wisdom and insight more than anything else (Prov 16:16).

Lord, having your wisdom and understanding lets me love life and causes me to prosper (Prov 19:8). So, I call upon your knowledge to govern my decisions, choices, and plans.

God, I also pray for church leaders worldwide and ask you to endow them with wisdom from your throne of grace. Give every leader your wisdom, insight, revelation-knowledge, and understanding. Political and government leaders, school leaders, business leaders, community leaders, entertainment leaders, sports leaders, family leaders, and church leaders; we all need your Spirit guiding us God. We need your Spirit of wisdom to govern, lead and do right by people everywhere.

Nothing we could ever desire can compare to your wisdom (Prov 8:11). Even if it costs us everything we have, help us get wisdom and understanding (Prov 4:7).

So, God, I'm calling on the Spirit of wisdom to fall fresh on us, especially on your church body, so that we can be the shining example of life in a dying world.

In Jesus' name, Amen.
